We made it back to Oxford safely and thought we would send you a few photos of SERENDIPITY SQUARED at her new home on our dock at home. There were a few moments of excitement going around Cape Hatteras with 30-40mph winds and heavy seas in the middle of the night on a 37- hour run from Charleston to Rudee Inlet, Virginia Beach.
SERENDIPITY SQUARED performed remarkably well and stayed the course and kept us all safe and sound. It was reassuring to have John Dennison, Captain and Outer Reef Sales Representative, with us for the run north and he taught us the ropes (or at least some of them!!) as we moved up the Atlantic Coast into the Chesapeake.
John left us in Cape Charles we continued on a leisurely cruise up the bay, stopping at The Tides in Irvington, and then Solomon’s Island. We tied up at home early evening on Friday, completing our inaugural cruise and the first of what we hope will be many enjoyable adventures on this beautiful yacht.
Thank you all for your efforts in making this happen!
