The new Outer Reef 540 Adventure is officially coming to life, with tooling well underway in Taiwan for this exciting new addition to the Adventure Series lineup.

Designed and engineered in the Netherlands by Bernd Weel Design, alongside Studio Delta Naval Architects and Julian Moore Design, the 540 Adventure was created for a new generation of cruisers seeking versatility, efficiency, capability, and contemporary design in one manageable package.

At just under 56 feet overall, the 540 hits a sweet spot for today’s market - ideal for owner-operators, couples, experienced cruisers looking to downsize, or those entering the long-range cruising lifestyle for the first time. Built in FRP and powered by Volvo Penta conventional shaft drive propulsion systems, the yacht is equally suited for coastal cruising, island hopping, or more ambitious passages.

The 540 Adventure delivers a CE Category A ocean certification and an impressive 2,000 nautical mile range at ECO speed, while maintaining the comfort and livability expected from Outer Reef Yachts. Inside, owners will find a spacious three-stateroom layout, including a full-beam master, with optional crew accommodations and customizable finishes that allow each yacht to feel personal and unique.

Like every yacht in the Outer Reef fleet, the 540 Adventure is being developed with a strong emphasis on quality construction, thoughtful engineering, and real-world cruising practicality.

As the tooling and build process continues, we look forward to sharing more behind-the-scenes progress as the 540 Adventure moves closer to reality.
