BRAVO!, the 2012 70’ Outer Reef, stands as a remarkable representation of this esteemed series, impeccably maintained and upgraded by its sole owner. This yacht features five cabins—three forward with ensuite heads and showers, and two aft with a shared head and shower, the latter accessible privately via a salon staircase.
Originally designed for US delivery, BRAVO! underwent modifications with the introduction of an ASEA voltage and cycle unit, providing adaptability to shore power requirements in South America, Europe, or Australia. Notably, the yacht boasts substantial system redundancy, enabling extended cruising of over 2000 nautical miles. Like all Outer Reef series, BRAVO! has earned the Ocean Class A rating, ensuring comfort and safety even in challenging sea conditions that might confine similar-profile yachts to their docks.
Entering the aft deck area from an extended swim platform, you'll find built-in seating, a spacious table for alfresco dining, a complete enclosure with winding doors for weather protection, and a built-in fridge sink for entertaining. Teak decks adorn the half deck area, steps, and platform.
The salon, accessed from the aft deck, features an entertainment center with a 50-inch television, built-in seating to port, a custom oval handrail system, two comfortable chairs, a center end table to starboard, and three large windows providing excellent visibility. Forward of the built-in cabinet area with bar storage is an on-deck head and a sizable galley with granite counters, multiple appliances, and an island pantry with a granite counter.
The open layout of the 70-foot Outer Reef series extends to the pilot house, boasting L-shaped seating, a large dining table, a comfortable helm chair, and a variety of electronics and systems. For added convenience, a raising panel behind the L-shaped pilot house seating offers privacy from the galley and salon.
Heading down a staircase from the pilothouse leads to three owners and guest staterooms, each with its own ensuite heads and showers, as well as a washer and dryer. The VIP guest forward was modified during the original build to feature twin berths. The port guest stateroom offers a wide lower berth, just a few inches shy of a queen, and an upper single berth. The master stateroom boasts an athwartships king bed, two walk-in large hanging lockers, and access to the full-height engine room through an opening teak door and aluminum watertight door.
A private staircase at the rear of the salon, starboard side, leads to two crew cabins with twin berths, a full head and shower shared by both cabins, a galleyette with a microwave, sink, refrigerator, pantry storage, and a second washer and dryer. Additionally, there's a full-height freezer and a dive tank locker.
For easy access to both the crew cabins and the engine room, a watertight transom door provides entry from the swim platform. Forward of these cabins, through a watertight aluminum door, is the full-height engine room housing 20kw twin generators and the highly fuel-efficient semi-commercial Caterpillar 503hp C9 engines, along with various systems.
A broad staircase leads from the pilot house to the flybridge, featuring a hardtop designed for complete weather protection under the four-sided enclosure. The flybridge includes two Stidd helm seats, a full console with electronics duplications, and port and starboard L-shaped seating with storage below and tables in front.
Moving aft down a couple of stairs reveals a large storage area to port, a combination refrigerator/icemaker to starboard, a sink, additional storage lockers, and a 36-inch gas barbecue grill. The boat deck boasts a 1700-pound four-way hydraulic davit with a retractable hydraulic 12-foot arm, allowing for the lowering and placement of the AB Nautilus 14-foot tender with a 70 hp Yamaha behind the swim platform or to one side of the yacht.
On the main deck, two wide covered walkways lead forward to the foredeck area on the bow, featuring built-in seating, fender holders for six large fenders, and twin 3500 Maxwell windlasses with two stainless anchors.
