SEA RANGER is truly a wonderful live-aboard, and also a very capable cruising yacht.

WALKTHROUGH

SEA RANGER, with her 19-foot beam, is one of the largest 65-foot yachts ever built. The full-beam aft deck has a recently installed full enclosure. The salon and dining room area are more than 23 feet long. A large full-height cabinet with substantial storage separates the salon/dining room from the galley, with a pass-through area. There is an additional storage cabinet in the salon, and opposite the galley are numerous cabinets that create a huge pantry area.

The galley was newly equipped with an induction stovetop and microwave. The on-deck head is accessed both from the interior of the salon, and also from a door from the wide walkway on the exterior. The pilothouse has wide comfortable bench seating with storage below and large opening doors to the walkways, both port and starboard.

For safety, the exterior bullworks are high and topped with a 6” Awlgripped cap rail. The entire yacht was Awlgripped previously, and an additional $35,000 was spent in 2017 to renew any areas that were necessary.

All five heads were updated from the original saltwater flush to freshwater flush, at a cost of $2,700 per head. The master stateroom aft, entered from a private staircase from the salon, may be the largest ever found on a 65 foot vessel, with a vanity area and a large ensuite head with tub shower. All three staterooms forward have ensuite heads and showers. Headroom in this area is approximately 6' 9" feet. There are teak and holly floors throughout.

The flybridge has comfortable seating under a very large enclosure, and the boat deck, while currently housing an older 13’ Boston Whaler, can carry a much longer tender. A large fiberglass swim platform gives the yacht an overall length of more than 67’. The windlass has a stainless anchor, and the davit is oversized.

ENGINES AND GENERATORS

• Port engine was rebuilt approximately 1,800 hours
• Starboard engine rebuilt about 500 hours ago
• Transmission coolers were replaced
• Starboard transmission was rebuilt about 100 hours ago
• Absolutely no smoke on start up from cold
• All engine hoses were replaced recently
• Original 20 kW generator was replaced in 2010 with a new Kohler 20 kW generator and has approximately 630 hours
• Original 12.5 kW generator was replaced in 2014 with a new 15 kW Kohler generator now with about 130 hours

STABILIZERS AND BOW / STERN THRUSTERS

• Naiad stabilizers with 6 foot fins
• 25 hp Naiad hydraulic bow thruster
• 22.5 hp 48 V electric stern thruster

ADDITIONAL UPGRADES

• Five new air conditioners in 2017
• All bilges are epoxy painted
• Recent new battery chargers
• All 8d batteries for engines and house bank new in 2021
• Recent new 4D batteries for the generators
• Transmission oil replaced 40 hours ago
• All engine and generator oil changed March 2023
• Updates to interior in January 2023
